This webinar provides an exciting opportunity to examine key aspects of deaf student support in higher education. It will cover discussion on British Sign Language (BSL) access, including research findings of deaf students’ experiences, and explore some of the logistical and financial considerations often facing non medical help (NMH) providers and educational institutions, with a chance to discuss potential solutions.

The session will also explore the role of Specialist Support Professionals (SSPs), considerations around notetaking, and there will be discussion of additional support options beyond the Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA). The event will conclude with a Q&A session, offering valuable insights and opportunities for discussion.

This event is free for NADP members. We have a limited number of non-member tickets available for £30.

Please contact admin@nadp-uk.org if you have any questions, to share any additional access needs, or to suggest any future content you’d like to see in NADP webinars.
