Session Overview

This webinar explored how higher education providers are responding to evolving expectations around evidence requirements to access reasonable adjustments. This event brought together sector professionals and legal insight to examine practical, policy, and ethical considerations around evidence thresholds, especially in light of the EHRC guidance following the Abrahart case.

The webinar featured case studies from the University of Leeds, University of the Arts London, and Southampton Solent University, highlighting differing provider responses – from maintaining thresholds, to removing the requirement for written evidence altogether. To finish, we shared a legal perspective to contextualise relevant legislation.

Attendees gained a clearer understanding of how institutions are balancing regulatory compliance, student needs, and administrative feasibility in shaping inclusive practice.
