Megan Owen

Communications Officer, Megan Owen, joined the Disability Services Team at the University of Leeds in 2019. Her role is to raise awareness of the Service amongst applicants, students and staff.

On joining the Service, Megan took on co-running the Student Panel, which had been in operation for two years.  Megan oversees the continued functioning of the Panel, providing a platform for students to share their experiences and contribute insights to enhance Disability Services.

In addition, Megan promotes the Service through email communications, social media, and events throughout the year.

Megan has a particular interest in clear communication. Her aim is to guide students directly to the information they need – without unnecessary words or overwhelming detail.

Megan has a Modern Languages degree and has worked in Higher Education since 2013.
