Session Description

Join us for this collaborative session, co-chaired by the Thomas Pocklington Trust, exploring practical support for blind and visually impaired students in higher education. The webinar will cover multiple aspects of the student journey, from the creation of accessible resources to supporting social and emotional wellbeing.  

We’ll feature examples and experiences from the Royal National Institute of Blind People’s (RNIB) Transcription Centre at the University of Leeds, the University of Birmingham, and the Thomas Pocklington Trust. Speakers will highlight best practice in supporting blind and visually impaired students, and signpost to further resources.  

The session will finish with a Q&A, where participants will be able to dive deeper with speakers into elements of the session that have sparked their interest.
