Job Description

The Student Wellbeing Service at St. Mary’s University is looking to appoint a highly qualified and experienced sessional mentor to meet the increased demand of students with mental-ill health and autism. It is essential that candidates hold current membership of a professional organisation as specified by DSA-QAG as being suitable to provide fully funded support as part of the Disabled Students Allowance (DSA). The post holder will be expected to provide individual academically focused, practical support for students with mental health and other complex needs, helping them to develop strategies to cope with the demands of their studies and to enable them to progress and succeed.

The successful candidate will be appointed on a sessional basis and will be able to work flexibly during the academic year as required. Pay is £35 per hour.
