Adviser For Students With Dyslexia/SpLD

The post-holder will work as part of our long-established specialist Dyslexia/SpLD advisory service which aims to deliver a high quality service, enabling students to engage fully with their programmes, access entitlements, and fulfil their potential, providing ongoing support where required. Working closely with colleagues in the Disability Team, the post-holder will deliver an advisory and support service for prospective and current students and contribute to the provision of guidance and support to staff throughout the university on disability policy and best practice. The successful candidate for this role will have a degree level qualification or equivalent and evidence of training in dyslexia and specific learning difficulties and experience of supporting individuals with dyslexia/SpLD.
A flexible approach to working hours is essential; our opening hours during semester time are 8am to 7pm, Monday to Thursday and 8am-4.30pm on Fridays. Wellbeing provide support at all our campuses and therefore work on other sites will be required.
