Cat Young

Cat Young joined NADP as an administrator in September 2022 and is thrilled to work for an organisation that is committed to disability equality. Her career started in the private sector, as a customer relationship database administrator for an insurance software provider.

After being diagnosed with MS in 2009, Cat took a break from paid work to concentrate on her health and became an Expert Patient Volunteer Tutor for the NHS, delivering self-management courses to other people with long term health conditions. She also volunteered for Possability People, a charity that supports disabled people to live independently.

Having re-built her self-confidence through the voluntary sector, Cat achieved her AAT level 2 accounting qualification through distanced learning in 2015 and most recently worked in the finance department of the housing association and homeless charity, BHT Sussex.
