Ruth Anderson (formerly Ruth Leith) has worked at the University of the West of Scotland since 2011, as Disability Service Team Leader. She has responsibility for delivering the service across 5 campuses as well as promoting access and inclusivity across the institution. Prior to working in Education, Ruth completed her undergraduate degree in Politics at the University of Glasgow and has a Masters in Human Rights from the University of London. Ruth then worked in the voluntary sector for 10 years, primarily in supported employment and advocacy. She has a particular interest in access to education for Deaf people, having studied BSL for several years.
