Adam Hyland

Adam is an experienced disability equality consultant and trainer and Campaigns and Equalities Director at D&A. Adam was President of the University of Bournemouth Students Union before being elected for two years working for the NUS as the National Disabled Students Officer. Adam’s experience in HE and the NUS makes him a powerful driving force behind the D&A Ambassador Scheme, disability campaigning work as well as developing and delivering training in Universities and the workplace. Adam has been an end-user of the assistive technology most of his life and oversees the training of new assistive technology trainers at D&A.

Adam is a board member of the Global Disability Innovation Hub which is a London 2012 legacy project, tasked with promoting innovation for disabled people across the globe. He is a mental health first aid trainer, on his way to completing the Mental Health First Aid England instructors’ course. Last year, Adam was invited to give evidence for a Westminster Commission on the barriers to employment for disabled people and completed a trainer the trainer course.
