Change the look of this website

Don't like the colours on this site? Is the font size too small? This website has been designed so that you can take control over how it is displayed by changing the settings in your browser software.

Internet Explorer 5 and 6

Detailed instructions on changing font size, colour settings, font settings, applying your own styles, turning off graphics.

Internet Explorer 7

Font size

Click on Page in the menu at the top right of the browser and select Zoom.

Firefox 3

Font size

Click on View in the menu at the top of the browser window and select Zoom (Text Size in older versions).

You can also use keyboard shortcuts to change text size:

  • Hold down Ctrl and press + to increase text size.
  • Hold down Ctrl and press - to decrease text size.
  • Hold down Ctrl and press 0 to return to default size.

Colours

To change colours of background, text and links and to make a permanent font size change click on Tools in the menu at the top of the browser window and select Options. Click on Content, where you can define Fonts & Colors.

Page style

Click on View - Page Style to select from a range of stylesheets (if provided) or to turn styles off altogether.

Firefox add-ons

You can also add a number of useful accessibility features to the Firefox browser by installing so-called add-ons or extentions.

Opera 9

Font size

Click on View in the menu at the top of the browser window and select Zoom.

Colours

To change colours of background, text and links and to make a permanent font size change click on Tools in the menu at the top of the browser window and select Tools - > Preferences. Click on Web Pages, where you can define fonts and colours.

Page style

Click on View -> Style to select from a variety of designs, including accessibility layouts.

Safari

Font size

Choose Preferences from the browser menu in the top left, click on the Advanced tab and specify a font size by selecting the check box 'Never use font sizes smaller than'.

Keyboard shortcut: Hold down the Apple Key and press the (+) key.

NADP website style switcher

You can also use the style switcher at the bottom of the navigation menu on each page ('Choose style') to change the look of the website to one of a number of pre-set designs.
